See if your roads got a face lift this year

Getting back into the swing of things after being away to do Christmas with the family. I pulled together a short story today about the state's road resurfacing projects in our region. If you've been alarmed by a loud "thunk" after hitting an unexpected crack in the pavement, or had a tire screwed up by a pothole, you know how important this is. This year, thanks to a landmark transportation spending bill passed in 2013, PennDOT did more resurfacing in our area than it has in any one year since 2009. Here's a comparison of road resurfacing in Philly, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware and Chester Counties over the past six years.

I don't have the mapping skills to do this in a more easily read format, but I thought it would be interesting for people to see if the state roads used in their commutes were among those that got a face lift this year. Here's the list of all the areas that got resurfaced this year, broken down by county.
