Olympic/Colonial Leads 3-1

The 24th annual Carpenter Cup baseball tournament got started this morning and South Jersey's Olympic/Colonial holds a 3-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning over the Suburban One League American and Continental.

Paulsboro junior rightfielder Casey Grimes hit a three-run home run in the second inning to spark the Olympic/Colonial.

This is the first of three games today here at the University of Pennsylvania's Meiklejohn Stadium.

At 12:30 p.m. today South Jersey's Tri-Cape will meet Delaware North.

The 4 p.m. final game has the Philadelphia Public League againt Jersey Shore, the team from Ocean and Monmouth County.
