Penn State 20, Purdue 6

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- It wasn't pretty, but Penn State handled a flaccid Purdue, 20-6, today. The offense ran up and down the field, but wasn't great inside the red zone while the defense, at least, produced perhaps its best effort of the season. Running back Evan Royster ran for a career-high 141 yards on 18 carries, while quarterback Daryll Clark had another nice outing. He threw for 220 yards on 18 of 26 passing. Wisconsin is next. The Lions will need to play better in Madison if they hope to keep its Big Ten/National title hopes alive.

I'm off the write for the newspaper.
