1/4 of US firms stop 401(k) dollars; half to resume by 2011

Almost one-quarter of U.S. companies that offer 401(k) plans have recently ended their employer contributions or plan to do so, reports Charles Schawb on the sixth page of this report. (Thanks to www.ignites.com.)
UPDATE: "Human-resources" consultant Wilson Wyatt says half the employers who cut 401(k) contributions are planning to reinstate them over the next 12 to 18 months -- see chart on Page 5.
