A second Graham Building rises in Pa.: Div 1 wrestling back at Bucknell
Bill Graham says grapplers taught him "stick-to-it-iveness"
Philadelphia corporate-insurance broker magnate William Graham, whose firm is the flagship occupant at the gleaming-metal Graham Building tower at 30 S. 15th Street in Center City Philadelphia, traveled three hours northwest earlier this week to alma mater Bucknell University to dedicate a second Graham Building, a 35,000-square-foot facility housing student counseling and health offices and a reborn NCAA Division I varsity wrestling program.
Graham is, of course, a past Bucknell varsity wrestler and trustee emeritus. He and his wife gave more than $7 million of the $12 million construction cost. 1972 Olympic gold medalist Dan Gable, retired coach Bob Ferraro and Michael Moyer, chief of the National Wrestling Coaches Association, were dignitaries in attendance.
Graham told the crowd that "stick-to-itiveness" is a quality Bucknell wrestling taught him that he found useful wrestling insurance claims and competing to keep his firm growing.
