95-year-old Philadelphia M&A artist Ray Perelman may have renamed the University of Pennsylvania's nearly 250-year-old medical school for hmself with his $225 million gift two years ago. Son Ron (of Revlon, MacAndrews & Forbes, etc.) has picked alma mater Columbia as his Ivy League object of affection, coming across with $100 million for Columbia Business School's new Manhattanville campus in New York (for which Columbia has been fighting rival and neighborhood interests for years), to match KKR merger manic Henry Kravis' $100 million gift.
