Radius Global Solutions LLC, an Ambler accounts-receivable and customer-relationship management solutions company, says it has acquired Northland Group Inc., a Minneapolis company that provides a similar menu of services for financial companies.

Northland will be a unit of Radius, Radius chief executive Michael Barrist said in a statement. Barrist was formerly head of debt collector NCO Group.  Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. advised Radius in the deal. NGI president Lance Black said the deal would offer workers and clients "new opportunities." Northland was advised by Robert W. Baird & Co.

Radius employed around 1,700 and Northland employed around 500 prior to the merger. Radius managing director Paul Weitzel said the privately-held company now employs 2,300. The company does not publicly report financials.
