Fitz & The Tantrums at the World Cafe Live

Fitz & the Tantrums, the well-dressed sextet that's the Los Angeles entry in the retro-R & B soul trendlet led by singers Michael Fitzpatrick and Noelle Scaggs, pull into the World Cafe Live on Tuesday. The satisyingly stylish Pickin' Up The Pieces is out now on Dangerbird. Mayer Hawthorne still gets my vote as the most crafty of this '60s obsessed bunch, but F & the T's know their way around a swaggering soul strut. "Moneygrabber" and "Don't Gotta Work It Out" are below. Philadelphia's Toy Soldiers open.
