Eagles, RB Scott agree to terms
The Eagles have signed their first rookie, sixth-round draft pick Charles Scott out of LSU to a four-year deal.
The Eagles and running back Charles Scott have agreed to terms, the team announced this morning.
It's a four-year contract, which we know doesn't mean much, considering the Eagles can cut Scott at any time.
Scott is the Eagles' first rookie draft pick to sign.
The Birds picked Scott with the 31st pick (200th overall) in the sixth round of April's draft. Considered a power back at 5 feet 11, 238 pounds, he piled up 1,174 yards and 18 touchdowns, while averaging 5.4 yards per carry as a junior at LSU.
He missed the end of his senior season with a collarbone injury.
According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the deal is worth about $1.88M, including a $90,000 signing bonus.
