Maclin, Samuel return to practice
A couple familiar faces returned to the practice field Saturday afternoon as Jeremy Maclin and Asante Samuel rejoined their teammates.
The Eagles are getting some bodies back on the practice field.
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and cornerback Asante Samuel returned to action Saturday afternoon at Lehigh.
When Maclin went down at the end of Wednesday's practice, it seemed unlikely he would be back this soon. Maclin was originally diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee, and the injury was later labeled a bone bruise. He was not limited during the first part of practice and was not wearing a sleeve or brace on his knee.
Samuel had been sitting out with a hamstring injury since Sunday. Like Maclin, he did not appear to be limited through the first portion of the afternoon practice.
Just Wednesday night, Kevin Kolb had to rely on Jason Avant, Hank Baskett and Riley Cooper as his wide receivers at Flight Night. He now has all his weapons back.
Running back Mike Bell put a helmet on to start the afternoon practice, but went inside shortly thereafter. It would be reasonable to assume he was testing out his hamstring, but decided to give it another session of rehab before returning fully.
Nick Cole, who left the morning session with a knee injury, did not return in the afternoon. Mike McGlynn continued to get the first-team reps in his place at center.
Earlier today, I posted my observations from the morning practice. And we also have a video up with Trent Cole.
