Heckert a candidate in Seattle?
Update:
Tom Heckert is one of three candidates linked to the Seattle Seahawks' general manager opening, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Per the report, the two other candidates are Arizona's Steve Keim and San Diego's Jimmy Raye.
Heckert is in his eighth season with the Eagles. He joined the Birds in 2001 as the director of player personnel. In 2006, Heckert was promoted to general manager. In 2008, he received a contract extension through 2011.
Andy Reid signed a contract extension through 2013 earlier this month, and it's important to remember his title also includes executive vice president of football operations.
Seattle's front office shuffle has been a hot topic this weekend. Mike Holmgren yesterday turned down an offer to take a senior leadership position with the Seahawks.

I think we all can agree that Mike Singletary's football team in San Fran is going to play physical up front, and regardless of what we want to believe about QB Alex Smith, this is a team that wins with the running game of Frank Gore. But, if they have to keep pace with McNabb and the big-play Eagles, can they do it? If the Niners force turnovers on defense, they can get out of Philly with a win. But I don't see it happening. No one is slowing down the Eagles right now and I am taking Philly to win and hold onto first place in the NFC East.
