Former PICA executive director takes CFO position in Montgomery County

Uri Monson will move a little to closer to home as he takes on the chief financial officer position on the Shapiro-Richards team.

After announcing he would leave his post as executive director of the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority in Philadelphia, Uri Monson is moving a county over.

Monson will be the Chief Financial Officer of Montgomery County, where he is a resident in Wynnewood.

Part of Commissioners-elect Josh Shapiro and Leslie Richards' transition team, Monson will help oversee the $417 million budget passed two weeks ago by the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. The budget will raise taxes by about 17 percent and increase county spending by $13.4 million.
