Wednesday night throngs of people celebrated then end of 2014 in Philadelphia. I checked out three of the hottest parties, where guests wore their New Year's Eve best, enjoyed open bars and delicious bites followed by champagne toasts at midnight.

Hey NYE Philly took over the Piazza in Northern Liberties, where more than 1,000 people partied under a heated tent that covered nearly every cobblestone in the courtyard. Guests were dancing all night, sitting with friends at large picnic tables or lounging on luxe white sofas in a private bottle service area.

The second party I hit was Bang Bang NYE at the Loews Hotel produced by the Three Nerds. There were two parties going on at this event. One in the main Millennium Hall where the Gypsy Wisdom band serenaded the crowd, many enjoyed table side seating in a relaxed atmosphere. This party was for friends and lovers who wanted to hear the band, enjoy each others company in a non chaotic scene. In the Commonwealth Hall was hosting a dance party with three DJs who kept the floor packed all night. It was dark, it was loud and it was very festive.

As midnight neared I headed over to The Downtown Club where the team behind Philadelphia's annual Diner En Blanc event threw a New Year's Eve party with Cescaphe Events. They transform the Club into an "Evening in Paris" with themed rooms and entertainers in French-style costumes, several performances by Can-Can girls, and The Bearded Ladies. At midnight guests enjoyed front row seats to the Sugarhouse Fireworks on the Delaware River.
