WATCH: Tyrannosaurus Rex throws out first pitch in San Diego
Dinosaurs have not been seen in San Diego, Calif. since 1997, when a freighter carrying a Tyrannosaurus Rex crashed into the city's dock in The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
Today, the prehistoric creature returned to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before a game at Petco Park, where the Padres hosted the Kansas City Royals.
A warning to humans: the baby dinosaur was surprisingly accurate, but the ball didn't quite make it to the plate. I imagine that strength will come in time for the lizard.
Maybe Phillies center fielder Ben Revere can long toss with the dinosaur in the offseason so they can develop together.
