After Temple game, security filmed beating Houston students

Following Houston's 24-13 win over Temple in the American Athletic Conference title game Saturday, thousands of students rushed the field to celebrate the victory.

Following Houston's 24-13 win over Temple in the American Athletic Conference title game Saturday, thousands of students rushed the field to celebrate the victory.

Unfortunately, several students were caught on video being roughed up by security guards, incidents that are being investigated by the University of Houston.

In the video above, Houston student Robert Loredo is seen being caught caught and thrown to the ground by one security guard employed by Contemporary Services Corporation, the company Houston uses for security for athletic events.

A second guard comes over and hits the fan several times in the head before letting him go.

"He was just kind of lying there," student Harrison Holmes told ABC13 in Houston. "Tackling that's fine, okay, but to the point where you kick somebody in the face for no apparent reason, that was uncalled for."

Another video shows a security guard picking up a student and body slamming him roughly to the ground.

"I am extremely disappointed and angered with the actions taken by individuals employed by our security contractor CSC," Houston athletic director Hunter Yurachek said in a statement.

"We are working with the University of Houston police to review today's activities and will take swift and appropriate action including the termination of our current contract with CSC and any legal action deemed necessary."
