Baseball de-materializes through Mets outfielder
Unsurprisingly, a baseball did not recognize a Mets outfielder as a natural stopping point. New York center fielder Chris Young slid to try and stop a gapper from hitting the wall this afternoon, only to have it pass through his body like some sort of dark magic was in play.
Or maybe baseballs just don't consider the Mets outfield a viable enough threat to stop. Who knows. The point is, the internet has this moment now, and they are going to treat it with all the dignity it deserves.
Someone should take that .gif of Chris Young sliding and put it in Mortal Kombat so it looks like he's doing a flying kick.
