Introducing Derek Jeter's patented underwear-cooling system

Derek Jeter needs to plan for the future. At 40 years old, he's got half his life ahead of him, and baseball far behind him. Fortunately, the future Hall of Famer has plenty of side projects to fall back on.

For instance, have you tried this new underwear-refrigeration system? Just check out the not-at-all ambiguous mission statement of FRIGO RevolutionWear, a company which Jeter partly owns.

"We've merged technology, design and the best available materials to come up with FRIGO® RevolutionWear - a game-changing product line for men."

Okay, so, they don't mention any of the good parts, but the company had a cocktail party which was attended by Jeter, Darryl Strawberry, Carmelo Anthony, and even this book shelf.

The New York Post called him a "secret owner," despite the fact that Jeter has endorsed the product publically before, making him the worst secret owner in history. Here is their more in-depth description, in which they reveal that the product is

"...more colloquially known as 'Tempur-Pedic banana hammocks.' The high-tech undies sell for $100 a pair and include a 'soft lock adjustment system' plus a "patented pouch" dubbed the 'Frigo Zone.'"

The Yankees don't want Jeter becoming "the next Jim Palmer," who become infamous as an endorser of Jockey International briefs (Cal Ripken was given an offer to join him and turned it down). But I don't think you can stop people from thinking about Derek Jeter's underwear.

Besides, soon, he won't even be on the Yankees, and will be free to advocate for whatever futuristic underpants he wants.
