The Harlem Globetrotter William "Bull" Bullard finished off an alley-oop by hanging onto the rim with his feet on the backboard when the stanchion gave way and nearly crushed him

The Harlem Globetrotters have been providing good, clean family fun since 1927, but one player narrowly escaped tragedy during a recent game in Honduras.

The 6-foot-4, 217-pound William "Bull" Bullard finished off an alley-oop by hanging onto the rim with his feet on the backboard when the stanchion gave way and nearly crushed Bullard.

The video is a bit scary, but at the end of the video Bullard makes an appearance and waves to the fans sporting a bandage over his eye. Check it out.
