Baseball: Moorestown beats Winslow in SJ 3 tourney

Andrew Lisa reached base five times and had three hits with three runs as Moorestown beat Winslow 15-7 Wednesday in the first round of the SJ 3 tournament.

Moorestown (15-6), the No. 3 seed, has won 12 of 13. The Quakers will host sixth-seeded Ocean City in the second round on Friday.

Tyler Kaiser scored three runs and delivered a two-run double to highlight a seven-run first inning for Moorestown.

The Quakers also walked three times with the bases loaded in the first inning. In all, Moorestown walked 12 times.

Nick Savino had three RBIs and Joey Frey had a two-run single and also pitched the last two innings for Moorestown.

Junior catcher Jon Gonzales hit his 13th double of the season for 14th-seeded Winslow (10-14). Gonzales drove in two runs to jack his season total of RBIs to 46.
