‘Real World: Philadelphia’ house for sale

A historic building at 3rd and Arch Streets that housed seven strangers on MTV’s “The Real World: Philadelphia” is back on the market for $4.3 million.

An historic building at 3rd and Arch Streets that housed seven strangers on MTV's "The Real World: Philadelphia" is back on the market for $4.3 million.

The 15,000-square-foot neoclassical building in Old City, which was constructed in 1902, was the location of the fifteenth season of MTV's popular reality show in 2004.

The three-story building was originally the Union Bank of Philadelphia, and then the Girard Corn Exchange National Bank and Trust Company until 1970. It was then sold to the Seamen's Church Institute, according to public records.

Yaron Properties purchased the building in 2003 for $2.2 million and renovated it for the show, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The space was most recently used as TRUST, an event space, but is now on the market as of two weeks ago, according to Jacob Cooper of MSC Retail, one of the brokers.

"It's a very dramatic and iconic building in Old City," Cooper said.

Cooper said one of the standout features of the building is a bi-level 10,000-square-foot center atrium that overlooks the main floor space. He said he could see the space being used for a variety of businesses.

"It could be an office, a retail store, a restaurant; an event space with a fabulous catering hall," he said. "There are a lot of opportunities for a user or an investor."

The former vault room used for the banks served as the "confessional room" on the show, where the cast recapped the past week's events.
