has sold after nearly two years on and off the market.
The Northeast Philly home sold about two weeks ago for $427,000, according to listing agent Sabu Thomas of Long and Foster. It was first listed for $470,000.
The "Extreme Makeover" crew – which included Philly native and builder Paul DiMeo, former Eagle Jeremiah Trotter, former Sixer Chris Webber, and Wayne-based Dewey Companies – gave the 2,700-square-foot home a full renovation in 2006. The home had been contaminated with asbestos and lead.
Some of the luxury finishes from the transformation include a Chef's kitchen and breakfast room with wood cabinetry, granite counters and designer appliances, a master suite with a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in closets, and three bedrooms with Jack-and-Jill bathrooms.
Outside, the team added an in-ground-pool and a Tiki hut.
The homeowners featured on the show – William and Carol Py – moved out in 2010. They sold the home to the most recent sellers for $420,000.
This isn't the only local home that was featured on "Extreme Makeover." In 2007, another home in Pennsauken was transformed, but one year later the family listed the home because it became too pricey to maintain.
