Commencement speaker controversies: Days after former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice bowed out of speaking at Rutgers University's commencement ceremony due to protests, students at Haverford College are expressing distaste with their speaker, former University of California-Berkeley chancellor Robert Birgeneau. Haverford's president has called a meeting for the campus community for this evening.
4. Comcast hearing: The U.S. House Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing today about Comcast Corp.'s proposed merger with Time Warner Cable.
