Penn christens the 83rd season of action at college basketball's most historic gym tonight. The matchup is an intriguing one, as the Quakers face another of the most storied mid-major programs in the country.

Davidson no longer carries the luster it earned when Stephen Curry brought the Wildcats national prominence, but it has still continued to enjoy success on the court. This year's squad is led by Conestoga native Jake Cohen, who will surely have plenty of fans in attendance tonight.

We will also get our first glimpse at a Quakers squad that is now firmly under the directon of Jerome Allen. Penn has a long way to climb to return to prominence, but a win tonight would give the program an enormous boost of confidence.
