Villanova favored to beat Montana

Jeff Sagarin's computer ratings have No. 35-ranked Villanova as a six-point favorite over No. 61 Montana.

A quick post before I call it a weekend...

Jeff Sagarin's computer ratings have No. 35-ranked Villanova as a six-point favorite over No. 61 Montana, 78.35 to 72.18, in tonight's I-AA football national championship game at Chattanooga, Tenn.

The game will be televised on ESPN2. I won't be blogging during it, but I'm sure it will be talked about on Twitter.

The news is not so good for No. 66 Temple. The Owls are a six-point underdog to No. 43 UCLA, 70.53 to 76.59, in the EagleBank Bowl.

No. 20 Penn State is also an underdog against No. 10 LSU in the Capital One Bowl, 81.52 to 85.57.

Of note, Sagarin has Florida ranked No. 2 over Texas, which is No. 3. Alabama is ranked No. 1.

What do you make of those bowl projections?
