Allen Barbre 'week-to-week' with left hamstring strain; Logan expected back at practice
Eagles left guard Allen Barbre strained his left hamstring in the first quarter of the Eagles' 29-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night and is "week-to-week," according to coach Doug Pederson.
The "week-to-week" designation from Pederson has meant that a player will miss time. If Barbre is out for this Sunday's game against the New York Giants, Stefen Wisniewski would start in his place. Wisniewski entered the Cowboys game for Barbre and played 69 of 78 offensive snaps. He has started 77 games in his career.
"Wiz did well," Pederson said. "He's such a competitor, and he's a pro. He really focuses in on his assignment, his jobs, and he's itching to play. He got an opportunity to play, and he played well."
Elsewhere on the injury front, the Eagles received good news with defensive tackle Bennie Logan. After missing two games because of a groin injury, Logan is "doing much better" and will return to practice on a limited basis, Pederson said.
"He should return to practice this week and get him some reps and see where he's at," Pederson said.
Linebacker Kamu Grugier Hill remains "week to week" with a right hamstring strain, but he ran on Monday. Defensive tackle Taylor Hart is "week to week" with a right ankle injury.
Quarterback Carson Wentz is on the injury report with a calf spasm suffered in Week 7 against Minnesota, but Pederson said he's "OK."
