Bennie Logan, Taylor Hart out vs. Giants; No player added to roster in Josh Huff's place
The Eagles downgraded defensive tackles Bennie Logan and Taylor Hart from questionable to out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, and they did not add a 53rd player to the active roster on Saturday to take the place of Josh Huff.
That means the Eagles will play against the Giants with only three defensive tackles, and they will have 52 players on their active roster. The Eagles did not plan to play anyone they would have activated, according to a league source, so this allows them to fill the roster spot next week. Had the Eagles signed a player off their practice squad, they would have needed to keep that player on the active roster for three weeks or pay him three week's salary.
Logan is missing his third game with a groin injury and Hart is missing his second game with an ankle injury. They did not make the trip for the game. Beau Allen will start, with Destiny Vaeao as the third defensive tackle.
The Eagles will have four wide receivers for Sunday's game: Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Dorial Green-Beckham, and Bryce Treggs.
