CB Bradley Fletcher inactive; Nolan Carroll to start

Bradley Fletcher will not play in Sunday's game against the New York Giants with a hip injury, putting an end to the cornerback's struggling season and perhaps his Eagles career.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Bradley Fletcher will not play in Sunday's game against the New York Giants with a hip injury, putting an end to the cornerback's struggling season and perhaps his Eagles career.

Nolan Carroll will start in Fletcher's place as the outside cornerback. It's Carroll's first start at that spot this season.

Linebacker Trent Cole is active after missing last week with a broken hand.

The Eagles' other inactives are: QB Nick Foles, S Jerome Couplin, OL Julian Vandervelde, OL Dennis Kelly, WR Jeff Maehl, DE Taylor Hart.

Rookie cornerback Jaylen Watkins is active and will likely fill Carroll's role in the dime formation. In other rookie news, Hart's season ends without playing a single game.
