Eagles WR Nelson Agholor officially inactive; RG Brandon Brooks inactive because of illness

After a week of speculation, Nelson Agholor is inactive for the Eagles' game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday. But the big surprise is that starting right guard Brandon Brooks is inactive because of an illness.

Agholor will sit for the first time this season after his ongoing struggles came to a head last week against Seattle. The Eagles want to give him time to get his mind right, and they have former practice squad receiver Paul Turner active for the first time this season. Rookie Bryce Treggs will start in Agholor's place.

Brooks, who has started every game this season, was hospitalized on Monday with an illness. Isaac Seumalo will start in Brooks' place.

The Eagles' inactives are Agholor, Brooks, running back Ryan Mathews, defensive end Steven Means, offensive lineman Dillon Gordon, tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai, and defensive tackle Taylor Hart.

Mathews and Vatai were both declared out with knee injuries.

Darren Sproles will start in place of Mathews, but Wendell Smallwood is expected to play a bigger role. Allen Barbre will slide over from left guard to right tackle to replace Vaitai, and Stefen Wisniewski will step in at left guard. The Eagles will have changes at three different offensive line spots for Monday's game.
