Kelly keeping options open on banged-up O-line

Chip Kelly said he still has no idea right now what his offensive line is going to look like Sunday when his 1-3 Eagles face the 1-3 Saints at the Linc.
His line, which wasn't playing very well when healthy, is banged up.
The Eagles lost right guard Andrew Gardner to a season-ending foot injury two weeks ago. Seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters left Sunday's 23-20 loss to Washington after a handful of snaps with a quad injury.
Right tackle Lane Johnson has ankle and knee sprains. Left guard Allen Barbre is nursing a groin injury.
Peters didn't practice Wednesday. Johnson was a limited participant.
"We'll see how things go here,'' Kelly said. "Lane is going to go today and we'll see how much he can go. J.P. is going to go today. I don't know how much he'll do today, but I was told he's going to try and do some things today.
"Allen went full yesterday, but we'll see how Allen is as we progress through the week.''
Kelly said Wednesday that moving Johnson from right tackle to left tackle if he can go and Peters can't is an option. Asked again Thursday morning about that possibility, he seemed to back off a little. "We'll see how he goes through training and see how he feels,'' the Eagles coach said. "It's tough to put a lot on his plate if he starts to do some things and then says he doesn't feel right. So we'll monitor that as we go.''
Matt Tobin replaced Peters at left tackle on Sunday.
--Kelly said the fact that there already have been 17 missed PATs in the first four weeks of the season, including one by his own kicker last week, hasn't really affected his willingness to go for two points after a touchdown. "Not right now, no,'' he said. "My whole thing (when they moved the PAT back to the 15-yard line) was they were asking you to go for two. But they never enticed you. Going for two still is as difficult as it was.''
--Kelly was asked whether DeMarco Murray, who had a league-high 392 carries last season when he won the NFL rushing title but has just 29 carries so far this season, is a volume runner who needs a certain number of carries to get going. "The big misconception is DeMarco was hurt and didn't play against the Jets and didn't practice a ton last week,'' Kelly said. "So we're trying to get him back up to speed.'' Kelly added that "when we're not having success running the ball at all, it's tough to say, 'Hey, we're just going to make sure we get him 22 carries and he's lathered up.' ''
