Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins was named NFC defensive player of the week for his two-interception performance last Thursday in a 24-19 win over the New York Giants. Jenkins finished with six tackles, three pass break-ups, two interceptions, and one touchdown.

It's the second time in Jenkins' Eagles career that he has won the honor. He also received it last season after a win over the New England Patriots.

Jenkins joins Brian Dawkins as the only Eagles safeties to win the award twice. Jenkins is the first Eagles player to win the award this season.
