Ray Didinger doesn't appreciate being labeled a dope by ESPN's Michael Wilbon
After the Eagles dropped their second straight game last weekend against Washington, "Pardon the Interruption" host Michael Wilbon blasted football analysts such as Ray Didinger who Wilbon said were too quick to praise rookie quarterback Carson Wentz.
"I didn't. Every other dope in the world did because they have to declare stuff now," Wilbon said on Tuesday's show. "People are so stupid, and fueled with these numbers drunkenly, they have to go out and tell you how great everybody is after two games."
Here's what Inquirer columnist Bob Ford wrote about Wentz's play in the loss:
In a way, the perception of how Wentz played in the disappointing 27-20 divisional loss to the Redskins is altered by how well he played in the first four games. Even in the loss at Detroit, Wentz emerged with a rating of 102.8, completed more than 75 percent of his passes, and the worst thing you could say about him was that he threw a ball at the end of the game that might have been ill-considered, but also one that his receiver didn't compete to catch.
