Five things to know about the Flyers today

Five things to know today about the streaking Flyers (19-10-3) as they prepare to face the Stars (12-14-6) on Saturday in Dallas at 2 p.m.

1. The Flyers and Penguins are the only NHL teams with three players among the league's top 10 in scoring. The Flyers' trio: Jake Voracek (33 points, tied for third), Claude Giroux (30 points, tied for eighth), and Wayne Simmonds (29 points, tied for 10th).

2. During their current 10-game winning streak, four of the Flyers' victories have been on the road, where they are now 8-5-1.

3. Dallas has an overall minus-19 goal differential, while the Flyers are at plus-8.

4. The Flyers are 10-0 since Brayden Schenn moved from left wing to center. He centered the fourth line for two games, and has centered the second line the last eight games. When Sean Couturier returns later this month, he will probably be the third-line center.

5. Rookie defenseman Ivan Provorov has been paired with Andrew MacDonald for the last seven games. In the first three games of the winning streak, he was with Radko Gudas. Provorov has five points (two goals, three assists) and is plus-7 during the 10-game winning streak.
