Claude Giroux returns to Flyers' practice
Good news from Flyersdom: Captain Claude Giroux participated in his first practice Friday since he was injured in Montreal on Feb. 19.
Giroux, who had a suspected concussion, skated for the first time since Sunday.
GM Ron Hextall said there was a chance that Giroux will return to the lineup Saturday afternoon against visiting Arizona.
If he plays Saturday, the Flyers will have to juggle their lines again. Sam Gagner, who has two goals in the last three games, could be the odd man out.
The Flyers have played admirably without Giroux, winning two of three games. Their only loss was a 3-1 setback in Carolina, a game in which the Flyers outshot the Hurricanes, 37-18.
In other games without Giroux, the Flyers defeated Toronto in OT, 5-4, and outlasted Minnesota, 3-2.
The Flyers are three points out of a playoff spot with 22 games left.
