Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn will miss two weeks because of an injury suffered in Saturday night's 4-1 loss to Columbus, the team announced Sunday.
The Flyers, who host the Islanders on Tuesday, won't recall a Phantoms D-man until Monday at the earliest. Candidates include Andrew MacDonald, Davis Drewiske, Mark Alt, and Sam Morin.
Late in Saturday's game, Schenn was checked into the boards by Columbus' Michael Chaput, fell awkwardly, and appeared to injure his left foot or ankle.
Chaput was selected by the Flyers in the third round of the 2010 draft.
Schenn's brother, Brayden, fought Chaput late in the game.
Because Radko Gudas has another game to serve on his three-game suspension, the Flyers are now short two D-men.
Luke Schenn has two goals, five points, and a minus-8 rating in 23 games this season.
