Vinny Lecavalier likely to sit on Tuesday again against Lightning

Embattled Flyers forward Vinny Lecavalier returned to practice on Monday.

The Flyers are facing Lecavalier's old team, Tampa Bay, on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center - but it doesn't appear he'll be back in Craig Berube's lineup.

Lecavalier, 34, has been a healthy scratch for all six games in the month of December. He took line rushes with extra forward Ryan White on Monday.

Lecavalier seemed to be skating just fine in practice. A report from TVA's Renaud Lavoie in Canada said Lecavalier has been suffering from a hip injury.

Flyers general manager Ron Hextall said Lecavalier missed practice on Friday with a "tweaked" lower-body injury.

With the way Lecavalier was skating on Monday, it seemed like the injury was very minor. The Flyers are 3-1-2 in the six games Lecavalier has sat as a healthy scratch - and undefeated in regulation in their last five.
