Aaron Harang to miss turn in rotation

Righthander Aaron Harang, originally slated to start Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees in Tampa, will miss his turn in the rotation for what he called "maintenance" reasons.
Harang, whom the Phillies signed in January to a one-year, $5 million deal, said the reason for missing the start is not a physical issue. The 36-year-old said he is working on fine-tuning mechanics before his first outing of the spring, now tentatively set for Monday against the Baltimore Orioles in Sarasota.
Harang did say he visited a chiropractor recently to re-align his back but that it's something he does each spring.
Righthander Kevin Slowey, a non-roster invitee to spring training, will start Wednesday in Harang's place. Paul Clemens, Ethan Martin, Justin De Fratus, Hector Neris, Elvis Araujo, Nefi Ogando, Andy Oliver and Phillippe Aumont are also in line to pitch.
