Chad Billingsley to make rehab start on Tuesday
Chad Billingsley will make a rehab start with triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday as he works his way back from a right shoulder strain. The righthander was placed on the disabled list on May 17 after making three starts.
Billingsley is 0-2 this season with a 6.75 ERA in 16 innings. His last start was promising. The pitcher allowed two runs in six innings. That promise was spoiled with the next day's trip to the DL.
The Phillies signed him in January to a one-year contract. He missed most of the last two seasons and the start of this season due to two shoulder surgeries. He made four rehab starts in April with the IronPigs.
