Domonic Brown ranked worst left fielder in baseball by Sporting News

Domonic Brown only had two errors in 2014, down from five in 2013. However, his defensive WAR was in the negatives, as it has been every season of his major league career (-1.6 in 2014, -5.4 career). He has long been considered something of a liability in the outfield, due to a lack of judgment.

But this season, his UZR/150 was -12.8, good enough for last place among all of MLB's everyday left fielders, according to the Sporting News.

UZR, or Ultimate Zone Rating, is a sabermetric stat measuring the result of a play - whether it was an error, hit or out in the official scorebook - against similar plays at that position in the past to establish a "norm," which is set at "0."

The field is split into a few zones and players are judged on their performance in their zone. Therefore, Brown is 12.8 points below the average performance at his position, which is good enough for, as previously stated, dead last.

Which is not news to anyone but possibly Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr., who recently listed Brown as one of the young players the Phillies could build around.
