Nola no longer starting Friday, 'hopefully' he will pitch

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Jonathan Paplebon will start instead of Aaron Nola on Friday, the Phillies announced a half hour before the first pitch against the visiting New York Yankees.

The team said the change was made due to the threat of inclement weather. Thunderstorms are in the forecast throughout the afternoon. Papelbon will pitch the first inning. The team said Nola will "hopefully get into the game after that."

Nola, 21, is the team's top pitching prospect. He was drafted seventh-overall in last June's draft. Nola was slated to start Friday's game as a spring cameo. He is expected to begin the season at double-A Reading, where he finished last season;
