Phillies broadcasters to call Tuesday's game from left field
The Phillies television broadcasters will see the game from a different vantage point once again as they will call Tuesday night's game against Chase Utley and the Dodgers from the outfield.
Tom McCarthy, Matt Stairs, and Ben Davis will broadcast the game on Comcast Sportsnet from a set on the second deck of Harry The K's in left field. The broadcasters have previously called games in the outfield stands and by the on-deck circle.
"Over the last couple of seasons we have been able to absorb the great vibes at the ballpark and enjoy the game with the best fans in baseball. This year will be no different," McCarthy said in a statement. "The perch at Harry the K's is not only special in name but in atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for us to show off some of the best spots to watch a game. I know I can speak for Matt and Ben when I say we are excited for this baseball moment."
In 2014, McCarthy caught a home run ball from Atlanta's Freddie Freeman as he broadcasted the game in left field. Good thing he brought his glove. Here's the video:
