Ryan Howard will once again hit seventh in Ryne Sandberg's lineup on Friday night. Thursday's 5-2 loss signified the first time the longtime cleanup hitter hit seventh since Aug. 21, 2006, when he was less than three weeks into his MVP season.

This lineup will face Max Scherzer, making his second consecutive start against the Phillies. The Nationals ace allowed just one run on six hits over six innings on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park.
