Utley to play the field Saturday, Revere in left

CLEARWATER, Fla. --- Second baseman Chase Utley will play the field for the first time in a game on Saturday, and in an interesting outfield alignment centerfielder Ben Revere will play left field.

Utley played his first five Grapefruit League games as designated hitter as he worked his way back from a January right ankle sprain. He is 7 for 14 with a double and two RBIs entering Saturday's game against R.A. Dickey and the Toronto Blue Jays.

In an interesting lineup twist, Revere is penciled in to play left field with Rule 5 draftee Odubel Herrera in center field.

Revere, who is a woeful 4 for 33 this spring, has 20 major league games of experience in left field but all with the Minnesota Twins from 2010-12. Herrera has more experience in center than in left but has played both this spring. He has a team-best 12 hits in 33 at-bats this spring.

Here is the full lineup for Saturday's game:

1. Ben Revere LF

2. Freddy Galvis SS

3. Chase Utley 2B

4. Ryan Howard 1B

5. Carlos Ruiz C

6. Cody Asche 3B

7. Odubel Herrera CF

8. Brian Bogusevic RF

9. Cole Hamels P
