MCW may be sidelined for Friday's game

The Sixers rookie point guard has right knee soreness.

It doesn't appear as if 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will play Friday in Charlotte against the Bobcats.

Carter-Williams didn't practice today and was wearing a sleeve on his right knee. His injury is termed right knee soreness.

Earlier in the year he missed four games with a sore left foot.

When asked about Carter-Williams' status for Friday, coach Brett Brown was candid.

"I am not optimistic," Brown said after Thursday's practice. "He may (play) but I don't believe he will."

Carter-Williams said it was sore during Monday's 126-125 double overtime win over the visiting Orlando Magic.

He says he is day to day.

"I am going to Charlotte and see how it feels in shootaround," Carter-Williams said.
