Furkan Aldemir's foot is worse than the 76ers originally thought.

The team's new power forward missed Thursday's practice because of plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He's listed as doubtful for Friday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets at the Wells Fargo Center. Aldemir had sat out the end of Wednesday's practice because of a sore right heel.

The 6-foot-9, 240-pounder, who signed with the Sixers (2-22) on Monday, suffered the injury back in his native Turkey.

Aldemir had two points, two rebounds, one assist, and a steal in 9 minutes, 32 seconds of action in a 105-87 setback to the Boston Celtics on Monday night, one day after traveling from Turkey.
