Bayless out vs Raptors, Wednesday's status unkown

TORONTO – Jerryd Bayless will not play against the Toronto Raptors on Monday at Air Canada Centre due to left wrist soreness. The 76ers point guard's status for Wednesday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings at Wells Fargo Center is unknown.

"I feel like that is so fluid," Sixers coach Brett Brown said before Monday's game. "It's not pointing right now in any direction.

"Personally, I'm a little bit worried.  I don't know if we are going to see him on Wednesday."

The coach added that Sixers will know a little bit more when they travel back to Philadelphia.

Bayless missed Sunday's setback to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was originally scheduled to fly here with the team following that game. But he stayed behind to receive treatment on his wrist.

Bayless had missed the first 13 games of the season after tearing a ligament in the twist during training camp in September. A free-agent addition this summer, he made his Sixers debut on Nov. 21 in a victory over the Miami Heat. Bayless played in the next two games, making his long-awaited start on Friday.

He experienced soreness throughout that game and sat out Saturday's light practice before missing games on Sunday and Monday.
