Best & Worst awards: Sixers vs. Hawks

My look at some of the best and worst performances from the Atlanta Hawks' 126-98 victory over the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday night:

Best performance: This was a tough one, because Kent Bazemore, Paul Millsap, Dennis Schroder, Mike Scott and Tim Hardaway Jr. all contributed in big ways in the Hawks victory. Yet, I have to give this to Al Horford. The Atlanta center scored 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting. He also had nine rebounds, three assists and game highs of three steals and three blocks.

Worst performance: This has to go to Kendall Marshall. The Sixers reserve point guard finished with two assists. However, he missed all three of his shots to en route to being held scoreless in 11 minutes, 24 seconds.

Best defensive performance:  Horford gets this award.

Best performance in a losing effort: Ish Smith wins this award even though Jahlil Okafor scored 21 points. Smith, the Sixers point guard, didn't lead the team in scoring.  But he made 6 of 10 shots to finish with 12 points.  Smith also finished with a game-high seven assists despite sitting out the fourth quarter.

Worst statistic: You have to give this to the Sixers shooting 27.8 percent on three-pointers. They made 5 of 18 threes.

Best statistic: This award goes to Atlanta's assists. The Hawks had 36 assists on 49 made baskets.
