Canaan out with sprained right foot

76ers reserve point guard Isaiah Canaan will miss two games with a sprained right foot. He will be sidelined in road games at the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday and the New York Knicks on Sunday.

Canaan suffered the injury with about 4 minutes, 44 seconds left in Wednesday's setback to the Washington Wizards. The Sixers originally believed he sprained his right ankle.

The 6-foot, 188-pounder finished with 18 points and was on crutches after the game.

Canaan is averaging 12.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds after the Sixers acquired him and a second-round pick in a trade for KJ McDaniels on Feb. 19.
