Embiid upgraded to probable vs. Lakers

76ers center/power forward Joel Embiid was upgraded back to probable for Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Wells Fargo Center because of a left knee bruise.  Meanwhile,  Nerlens Noel (left ankle sprain) was downgraded to questionable.

Noel was probable and Embiid was questionable during Friday morning's shootaround.

Dario Saric (right shin bruise) remain probable. The Sixers expect to start Embiid and center Jahlil Okafor together as twin towers for the second consecutive game.

Embiid and Saric suffered their injuries while bumping legs at the end of Thursday's practice. At the time, both were listed as probable for the Lakers' game. However, Embiid did not participate in Friday morning's shootaround.

The 7-foot-2, 275-pounder will be evaluated and treated during pregame.

Noel suffered his injury in Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons.  He and Saric participated in Friday's shootaround.
