Embiid looks to go 4-0 on road trip

It was a simple question, and Joel Embiid responded with a confident answer.

The 76ers center was asked what he wanted to accomplish during the upcoming four-game road trip.

"Get all four wins," Embiid said following Wednesday's practice.

The Sixers (7-21) open the trip Friday night against the Phoenix Suns. Then they'll face the Sacramento Kings on Monday before back-to-back games against the Utah Jazz (Dec. 29) and the Denver Nuggets (Dec. 30).

"We just have to play together and share the ball," he said. "We have to get back to being a defensive-minded team."

The four teams took a combined 40-47 record into Thursday's NBA matchups.  The Jazz (18-12) are the only team of the four with a winning record.

The Jazz and Nuggets defeated the Sixers earlier this season at Well Fargo Center. The Sixers topped the Suns, while their home game against the Kings was postponed to Jan. 30.
