Lonzo Ball might work out only for Lakers

"There’s nobody else that we need to work out for," LaVar Ball, Lonzo's father, told a Lakers website. ESPN reports, though, that the Balls haven't reached a final decision.

So it begins.

LaVar Ball told Lakers Nation that his son, Lonzo Ball, probably will work out only for the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Just the Lakers, " LaVar Ball was quoted as saying. "There's nobody else that we need to work out for."

However, ESPN is reporting that the Balls won't make a decision until "closer to June."

Lonzo Ball is one of the top prospects in the June 22 NBA draft. The Southern California native and former UCLA standout guard has long expressed his desire to play for the Lakers. He left the Bruins program after his freshman season.

The Boston Celtics were awarded the first overall pick in Tuesday's draft lottery in New York. The Lakers will pick second, with the 76ers third.
